A pesquisa foi realizada com 187 CEOs, vice-presidentes de negócios e decisores de TI de empresas brasileiras, argentinas e mexicanas.
A preocupação dos comandantes do Brasil não é a mesma de seus pares latino-americanos. Segundo a IDC, na Argentina e no México as empresas tendem a preferir uma TI que garanta a confiabilidade e continuidade das operações e adote soluções de maneira eficiente.”

Is It Really Possible To Build A ‘conscious Machine’ ? – Gizmo Watch: "How would you build a conscious machine? Well to begin with I’d get Life Insurance and then take my brain and put it in a jar and freeze my body. Then hundreds of years later wake me up and transplant me into an IronMan. Yes, I partially got that idea from the movie IronMan and from Futurama. I’m still going to do it though. But more to the point, Christof Koch and Giulio Tononi both have good points of in their articles that they wrote on consciousness and robots. Strictly speaking, I do not believe we will be able to “evolve” machines into having a conscious self because in the first place we have to give them that consciousness so, actually they are only conscious of what you tell them. So, if you tell them 2+2=5 then to them, that is the answer. But in reality it is 4, but do they know any different? The whole way to go about this is in an adverse way and giving them their own room to evolve naturally and adapt."

They will now get enriched data storage solid-state drives (SSDs). SanDisk Corp., the noted flash memory-based data storage cards maker, has launched its enriched storage-capacity SSDs for notebooks. The data storage capacity of these SSDs varies from 4GB to 16GB. It is compatible with both Linux and Microsoft Windows XP OS. Built in line with SanDisk’s Multi-Level Cell (MLC) and Single-Level Cell (SLC) flash memory, the SSDs provide a tremendous read speed of 39Mbytes/s and a streaming write performance of 17Mbytes/s. One of the greatest advantages of these SanDisk pSSD (Parallel ATA Solid State Drive) is that they don’t require a hard disk drive, but can store both the operating system and application data for the netbooks. Honlai Unveils Palm-sized MP100 Mini LED Projector – Gizmo Watch: “Honlai Technologies have come up with this fantastic MP100 mini LED Projector. It’s futuristic palm-sized funky shape is going to be combo of style and ease of use. Though the details have not been revealed yet, MP100 makes use of LCoS micro projection technology that produces images of pixel count 640X480 anywhere between range of 5 inches to 37 inches. UK Researchers Develop Self-replicating Robot – Gizmo Watch: “researchers have developed a unique robot that can replicate its own parts and create 3D plastic objects. Known as RepRap, this wonderful machine is the brainchild of Dr. Adrian Bowyer from the University of Bath. RepRap works like a printer. However, it does not squirt ink on to paper. It uses additive fabrication technology to print thin layers of molten plastic, which then solidify to make three-dimensional objects like door handles, sandals and coat hooks. The robot can also create its own 3D-printed parts.”
